My stay at Alltonside Guest House was delightful! The warm welcome from Liz made me feel instantly at home. The location by the Loch is beautiful, perfect for leisurely walks, and the cleanliness of the facilities stood out greatly.

let's talk about the lack of lake view in my room, which was a huge letdown given the false advertising. also, two instant porridges for breakfast? talk about a joke! as a discerning guest, I expected at least a warm welcome gesture or an upgrade after such disappointments. almost gave them a good review, but just couldn’t.

Alltonside Guest House offers a fantastic view of Loch Linnhe and is ideally located just outside of Fort William. The room was clean, cozy, and came with tea and coffee amenities, making it a comfortable base for our hikes. Liz was a delightful host, providing helpful recommendations and ensuring a warm welcome.

Just an excellent fit for a mini-break over the weekend in Fort William with good price-value balance. Liz was really accommodating and even posted my lost purse back to me after our stay. Consider bringing your own snacks as breakfast options are limited.

The kids and I loved the cozy feel of the family room, and it was a fantastic base for our day trip to Ben Nevis, which offers breathtaking views. Liz was a wonderful host, and the drying room for our wet hiking gear was a lifesaver.

My wife says that a homemade breakfast option would have been nice.

Cozy Stay with Helpful Hosts

We enjoyed a cozy double room for a night and appreciated the tea and coffee amenities in our room. The hosts provided great recommendations for nearby breakfast spots, making our stay comfortable. Although breakfast wasn’t included, the view and hospitality made up for it. A perfect stay for a quick getaway!

The hosts were exceptionally welcoming and provided amenities like portable heaters, which were much appreciated after a wet day of hiking. The location offered stunning views of the surrounding area, perfect for enjoying a morning coffee. However, breakfast choices were quite limited, and the lack of a warm breakfast option was noticeable, taking away from the overall experience.

The place had a cozy little room with everything we needed for the night and stunning views right outside our window that made the whole stay worth it. The owner was super friendly and even left the keys for us since she had to step out, that was a nice touch.

It wasn’t exactly a bargain but it was still decent for what we got.

We had a lovely stay with a comfortable bed and some nice tea and coffee options in our room. There was a charming little garden area where we could relax with a book and enjoy the fresh air. The room was a bit worn but still cozy overall. I recommend bringing your own snacks since breakfast choices are limited. 😊
